Welcome to the exciting world of Cub Scout Training.  THANK YOU for volunteering to assist the program.  Below, you will find all of the steps necessary to complete the required training.  Once you have completed all the training listed, you can proudly wear the "Trained" patch on your uniform.

STEP 1:  Youth Protection Training
  1. Log onto the Online Learning Center.
  2. Click on the General tab.
  3. Click on "Youth Protection Training"
  4. Complete the training.
  5. Once you have completed training, "View Certificate" will appear beneath "Retake Course".  Click on "View Certificate" and save the certificate of completion to your computer.  Then, email a copy of that file to the District Youth Protection Coordinator, Maia Briggs, and a copy to your Pack Training Coordinator.

STEP 3:  New Leader Essentials New Leader Essentials is held by the Simon Kenton Council or Tri-Creek District (or any other District).  It is instructor-led training, approximately 90-minutes long, and provides an overview of the core elements of Scouting.  To find a currently-scheduled session, visit the Tri-Creek District Calendar.
STEP 4:  Leader-Specific Training This instructor-led five-part training session is designed to train the new leader in the specific responsibilities of his or her position.  Specific training is available for Cubmasters, Tiger Cub Den Leaders, Cub Scout Den Leaders, Webelo Den Leaders, Pack Committee Chairs and Members, and Pack Trainers.  To find a currently-scheduled session, visit the Tri-Creek District Calendar.
